Probiotics, Good for Bones and Much More! Winter Park

Most people by now have heard about using probiotics after antibiotic therapy to restore the good bacteria and flora to the gut (antibiotics will kill off the good & bad bacteria). But did you know probiotics were good for bones? Probiotics can help heart health, inflammation, leaky gut, food allergies, infant allergies, autoimmune conditions, and many more health concerns. Lactobacillus reu-teri in small doses has been shown to lower cholesterol. They have even been shown to boost the immune systems of healthy people.

There is evidence that probiotics increase the efficiency of phyto-estrogens by rendering them bioavailable and speeding conversions and since phyto-estrogens are effective in preventing and treating osteoporosis, probiotics can also be effective.

It is very important that you select a proper probiotic to get maximum therapeutic effects from it. Not only how and who made the probiotic, but sometimes more important how was the probiotic shipped and stored. Probiotics can loose their potency very quickly if they are not shipped and stored in “ideal” conditions.

Here at The Bolick Wellness Clinic in Maitland, FL, we carry a variety of probiotic formulas for different uses. Dr. Bolick would be happy to help you select a probiotic for you specific circumstances.
